We are proud to announce that we have signed one of Chicago's finest indie-psych-pop bands to Nowhere records.  Formerly called Trio In Stereo this quintet has adopted a new moniker and have cut an LP that just makes us feel happy.

Border States will be released on Limited Edition Vinyl this summer and will have the accompanying digital download available as well.

We are extremely excited to be working with the band and will be posting some samples for you all to enjoy here soon.

Into the Light Carol Anne is wrapping up their fall tour Nov 14th in St Louis where they will join their friends and label mates the Pat Sajak Assassins.  The last time these guys shared a stage it was more than magical it was super magic tastic.

i think it is distinctly possible that if you live in st louis and you do not join them at Lemmons ($5 cover 21+) you will regret it for the remainder of your life.

Make plans to attend now.

blog_cover.pngIt is difficult to describe what it feels like to release a new record. especailly when that record moves you. That’s prertty much all we do here at Nowhere, and it's a great feeling.  But even here there come bands with sounds that we just fall in love with, Tirra Lirra is one of those bands.

We had heard Tirra Lirra play this music live a few times and knew it was joy incarnate to listen to.  Which was why we were excited to hear they were recording. Excited might not cover it really... but regardless it was a happy moment.

Then David was talking to Chris Mathis and heard that they were having some difficulties with getting it put out, they were talking about self releasing so David gave them info for record pressing and a general idea of what it costs.  Just hoping to hear this record soon David went on his merry way.

But the troubles persisted until we worried that the record would never make it out of the studio.  Then David had a brilliant idea: I run a label why don't I just put the damn thing out?  And so here it is.  a record that more than anything we just wanted to hear.  and hear it we did.  David brought the master disk in and it played for three days straight before any of us even thought to change it.  We were more contemplative that week, struck by the dense beauty this is Tirra Lirra's Pink Live Forever

We are thrilled that this amazing record can be available to listen to and honored that the band would allow us to put our dirty mitts on it in the first place.  but it's like David said: this is a great damn record... it would be a sin not to but it out.
